Google becomes latest tech giant to announce massive layoffs, after Microsoft, Meta and Amazon

The company will cut 12,000 jobs. Since 2022, 1,150 tech companies have cut more than 190,000 jobs, a sharp correction after the hiring frenzy during the Covid-19 pandemic.
